Wood species distributed throughout South America.
It is a moderately heavy wood (660 kg/m3 at 15% humidity) and soft to the cut. The heartwood and sapwood are not differentiated and the color is yellowish white and slightly pink; medium texture; straight grain and grain; slightly shiny surface and fine to the touch. Tangential contraction 8% and radial 4.6% obtaining an average classification. In laboratory tests, when it is subjected to pressure impregnation, it proves to be quite permeable to preservative solutions.
