Massaranduba
Species distributed throughout Central and South America, especially throughout the Amazonian strip.
Heartwood is uniform red-pink and darkens with time. Beige ribbed sapwood is distinguishable. Medium uniform texture, straight grain and smooth to touch. The natural durability of this wood in laboratory tests gives a result of moderate to high resistance.
